In Harvest, the project Budget, the Bill Rates and Expenses follow client-specific currency setting. Whereas the Cost Rates (that are used to calculate the Resource part of the project Costs) are entered in your default currency (that's set on the account level).

So, you'll end up with:

  • Budget will be in client-level currency
  • Costs:
    • Resource-based Costs will be in account-level currency
    • Expense-based Costs will be in client-level currency

As a result we'll have 2 sets of units (currencies) for the metrics we use to calculate profitability. And since we can only compare values in the same units (currencies), we won't be able to calculate the profitability.
